SCIENCE OF ANCIENT ARCHITECTURE (Vedic Architecture)admin
LETS LEARN FROM OUR GLORIOUS PAST
VASTU is a science of harmonious manifestation of energy into matter or vice versa. It is a technical study of harmonious balancing of human energies with natural energies. It is set of laws oriented to align maximum benefits from a micro climatic condition and a building structure.
Vastu Science is a study of life within a defined space or the study of relationship between the occupants and building in context to land, Location and environment. All the five factors should always be in harmony.Vastu means harmony with Nature
Occupant- To understand life of occupants in a building, it is essential to understand their psychology, behavioral patterns and generic disease pattern. The mind, body relationship needs to be clearly understood.
Building- To understand building from Vastu perspective, one must look at structure, architecture and interiors from directional perspective.
Land- Vastu emphasizes a lot on land selection. The land should have high bearing capacity and should also be fertile too.
Location- The impact of location is given prime importance in Vastu.
Environment- The impact of both internal and external environment is strongly taken into consideration while implying Vastu.
Vastu means aligning a building with the laws of nature. It is perfect harmony between nature and building with the help of its five elements. Our ancient architects knew the art and science of creating energy efficient sustainable buildings. Now days we hear of Green Building, but in India people have always been living in Green Buildings. It is because of a rat race to reduce cost, fancy looks and changed priorities that people are facing problems of sick buildings. There are four directions north, south, east, west and four corners north east, south east, south west and north west. There are two vertical directions as well. All the directions and corners have their own specific characteristics. The objective of Vastu Science is to construct buildings with spiritual connect, which further helps the occupants to connect with themselves.
